The Council went into Committee of the whole acccordingly.
Alderman Drennan in the Chair.
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the agreement read clause by
clause and adopted, as amended by the following resolution.
On motion of Alderman Walkem seconded by Alderman Robinson
(8 a) Ordered that it is further agreed by and between the parties hereto that the
Company shall bear and pay two thirds of the actual cost of the removal of the snow and ice
from the streets of the City hereby authorized to be used by the Company and in other respects
the agreement dated 7th May 1894 respecting the removal of snow and ice from the streets
except as by this agreement is otherwise expressly provided shall apply to the Railway
hereby authorized to be constructed and operated. The Report was received.

The motion of Alderman Behan seconded by Alderman Newlands
Ordered that the agreement between the City and the Kingston, Portsmouth
and Cataraqui Railway Company be now signed by the Mayor.

On motion the Council adjourned.

A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston was held
this day. Present

Behan, Carson, Curtis, Donnelly, Drennan, Hewton, Livingston,
Martin, Minnes, Newlands, Redden, Richardson, Robinson, Ryan,
Skinner, Stewart, Strainge, Tait, Walkem

The Clerk read the minutes of the two last meetings.
Communications summarized by Clerk were read and referred as
follows:

From Donald M. McIntyre, City Solicitor sending agreement in
duplicate between the City and the Street Railway Company executed by
Mr. Breck President of the Company and referring to a couple of changes
made in the agreement since it was passed by the Council.
On motion of Alderman Ryan seconded by Alderman Drennan
Ordered that the agreement re extension of Montreal Street Railway
be reconsidered and adopted as amended.
From Donald McIntyre City Solicitor re ballot paper forms tendered
Mr. Newnham. Fyled.

From F.C. Ireland City Treasurer stating fees received by him from
Number 1 Market to date. Referred to the Committee on Finance.
