Ald. Richardson from the Committee on Finance and accounts brought
up Reports (Numbers 74 & 75 Book H) which were read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Board of Works brought up Reports (Numbers 76 &
77 Book H) and also submitted Reports of City Engineer Re: Local Improvements
which were read.

On motion of Ald Carson, seconded by Ald Martin
Ordered, That the reports of the Board of Works be received and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Water Works brought up Report
(Number 78 Book H) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and Light brought up
Report (Number 79 Book H) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on City Property brought up Report
(Number 80 Book H) which was read and adopted.

On motion the Council adjourned.

A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston was held this
day. Present:

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen:
Behan, Carson, Curtis, Donnelly, Drennan, Hewton, Livingston,
Minnes, Newlands, Redden, Richardson, Skinner, Stewart,
Strainge, Tait.

The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting.

The communications summarized by the Clerk were read and referred as follows:

From Maggie Hamilton Re: Street watering tax. Referred to the Board of Works.

From John Macdonald Secretary Treasurer Public School Board. Re: amalgamation
of Collegiate Institute Board with Public School Board. Referred to the Committee on
Finance &c.

From the Chairman and Secretary Treasurer of the Collegiate Institute
Board enclosing copies of Resolution Re Union of board with the Public School
Board for the City. Referred to the Committee on Finance &c.

From B.W. Folger General Manager Street Railway Re: building of Street
Railway to the outer station. Referred to the Board of Works.

From Jane Cannem and othes taxes. Referred to the Court of Revision.

From Frank C. Ireland City Treasurer stating fees received from Market
No 1 to date. Referred to the Committee on Finance &c.

From George Thompson Collector of Taxes stating amount of taxes received
by him to date. Referred to the Committee on Finance &c.

From John McLeod applying for exemption from taxation on Tannery
for ten years. Referred to the Committee on Finance &c.

From W.D. Morris Manager Queen City Oil Company asking permission
to erect Oil Works within the limits of the City at a convenient point. Referred
to the Committee on Fire, Water and Light.
