Saturday. The copper has been reset, and new
lead put round. this work was much needed. as we shall save thereby both time and fuel.

Lady Young and Miss Dalton came 1/2 past 4 oclk [oclock]
they brought a plant in a pot. " The Coleus Blooms"
her Ladyship was pleased with [inserted] the progress with the garden but the old iron seemed to annoy her. she proposed
that we "ask Mr Baptistr to take it in exchange for trees &c [etc?] "

Sabbath 22nd Mr Howitt preached in the morng and
R Thomas Hall 3 oclk [oclock] in the eveng
had a Bible class came even [evening] prayers.
Mary Ann Grant is rather poorly and weak,
all the rest are in health. 31 inmates
