This collection comprises records of paintings and drawings submitted to the Stationers’ Company for copyright protection between 1862 and 1912. The records are entry forms containing information about the creative works being submitted for copyright protection, with attached samples of those creative works. The details found in the entry forms include:

Description of work: Oil painting entitled "A Good Story". Interior. Four men seated at table, smoking and drinking, one standing near filling his pipe. They listen to the man at the head of the table, who is relating a story. Background a panelled wall, with an old hanging clock, stuffed fish in a case, old mantelpiece, and chest of drawers with urn on it.

Background a panelled wall, with a circular mirror and candle brackets, and mantelpiece.
