Dear Sir
I have made inquiry of the man who put in the myrtle on your lot, and he states that myrtle and labor were furnished to the value of $4.00 as pr bill tendered. As you furnished at any rate most of the myrtle the charge seems rather high and think about the fair thing thusly would be to deduct $250 from the bill, which the Treasurer will do, if you will call
Yours truly

Dear Sir
I have written Mr J. P. Flagg. I would abate $250 on charge for "repairing myrtle'"Lot 3386. Which I think is right.
I will authorize you however to abate the whole charge $4.00 for repairing myrtle if you can do no better as we have no order.
Yrs truly

Dear Sir:
In regard to thr two Bills rendered with this. We have your order for cutting the Number in Panel. The charge of $700 for slate covers was occasioned by the breakage of the original ones probably from an overweight of gravel as they we[re] found broken when the Tomb was opened. The Extra Labor $300 was the removal of two bodies from the tomb to the Receiving Tomb where they still remain. The bodies were moved for Edward Richardson Esq, that is by his direction

Dear Sir:
We have on file an order from yourself for the removal of the tree referred to in your note on the back of the Bill. The tree was of considerable size and in order to remove it without danger to structures in the adjoining lots we were obliged to send competent and careful men to digup & remove the tree. These laborers have to be paid and you were charged no more than the regular rates for work of this kind
Trusting that this will explain matters in a satisfactory manner. I remain
Very Respectfully
