Toll House Cookies
cream 1/2 c shortening with 6 tbs. gran.
sugar and 6 tbs. brown sugar. Add one
egg, beaten; Add 1/2 tsp soda, 1 1/8 c
sifted flour and 1/2 tsp salt which
have been mixed together. Add a few
tsp drops hot water. Mix together until
well blended. Lastly add 1/2 c chopped
nuts & 1 pkg choc. bits, 1/2 tsp vanilla.
Drop by half teaspoons on greased sheet
Bake 10 to 12 min. 375 degrees
50 cookies
1 cup plus 2 tbs sifted flour (correction)

Rosie's Cookies - good
2 c brown sugar
1 c butter
2 eggs
3 tbs somemilk
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp cream tartar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 c raisins (cooked)
1 c walnuts
4 c flour
cook raisins day before & drain
Use raisin liquid if have no sour milk
350 degrees to 375 degrees 10 to 12 min.
