FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1941 We have done the general house work & washed a large washing for Bobby Louis.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1941 It rained some today. We went to town this afternoon & I went to see Dr. Finley. He says I am doing fairly well. I got a new purse. Mother got a hat & purse. We went to Jessie's.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5, 1941 Mother, Bobby, Rex & I went to Sis today. She had a dinner for Uncle Joe Wooten & Joseph. Lanna, B.J., Bobby & Jimmy Uncle Alonza, Aunt Cattie, John, Alma, Lin, Jessie, Lawrence, Cousin Sam Hopgood Cousin Herb, Sis, Dock Mother, Rex & I ate dinner. One of Uncle Lum Wooten's daughter & husband came a while. Edward Robertson & A.W. Sisk came also.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 1941 Mother & I have done the general house work & washed a large washing for Bobby Louis. Uncle Brack came this afternoon. Mother & I pealed pears to make preserves.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 1941 Willie washed. Mother & I have done the general house work & made 3 qts. of pear preserves. We pealed some pears this afternoon.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 1941 Made over 1 qt of pear preserves and canned 2 gallons. Willie ironed. Mother & I washed for Bobby Louis this afternoon.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1941 We cooked for work hands. Jim & Dock ate dinner. They are helping Rex bail hay.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1941 Rex went to Pleasant View this morning. Mother went with him & went to Mrs. Gene Melton's. She wants to go to Pleasant View Revival Meeting. I churned, washed for Bobby Louis finished dressing a chicken that Mother had started & got dinner. Bobby has been a fairly good boy.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1941 I made 2 pies and have done the general house work. Bob, Rex & I went to town tonight. We took Bob to Jessie's & we went down in town. I didn't stay so long. When I got back to Jessie's Bobby was crying and had been crying a good while. Uncle Joe & Sis were at Jessie's. Uncle Joe & Joseph will start for home tomorrow.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12, 1941 Mr. Downing, J.B. Dock & William Ross came this morning. Rex went after Mother this afternoon. Bobby & I went to Sis but she wasn't at home. We saw Sis & Mary out on the road on their way to Jessie's. Bobby & I went with them. We also went to Anton to Ethel Brown's & got a quilt. Sis took Mary home Bob & I went with her. Charles Eula Bella & children Nancy, Clarance Arnett Gaynel & Mary Ray were there. Stella is getting along fairly well. Mother says she had a real good time on her trip. She brought Bobby a new sweater suit.
