TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 1941 Willie washed. Mother & I have done the general house work. John & Alma came a while tonight.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1941 Mother & I have done the general house work. Willie ironed. Bobby is a better boy. He don't cry near so much.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1941 Rex, Bobby & I went to town tonight. We took Bobby to Jessie's and went to the fair to see the Renfro Valley Rodeo Stars but there were such a large crowd that I didn't go in. Rex took me back to Jessie's and then went to the fair. He said he had to stand up but enjoyed them fine. It is pretty cool tonight.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 1941 I washed the kitchen & bed-room windows and hung the curtains. Rex went to Pleasant View today and Uncle Brack went home. Rex got 6 chairs and 2 tables fixing for the Silo filling He aims to fill Monday. Rex brought me a new stove today. How proud I am of it. It is a "Diamond King", Stove.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1941 Rex went to town this afternoon but Mother & I didn't go as we had so much work to do. I made 8 pies 4 pineapple and 4 coconut and a number of other things.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 1941 It sprinkled rained today. Mother & I have worked a good deal today. We boiled a ham and I made 5 apple pies. We have been fixing for the Silo filling tomorrow. I washed a few pieces for Bobby Louis. He is getting to be a better boy. He hasn't had the Colic very much for some time. Mr. & Mrs. Barnett Ashby & little daughter came a little while this afternoon. John & Alma came also.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 1941 We filled our Silo today. Alma came & helped Mother & get dinner. There were 25 men that ate dinner. Uncle Joe Wooten spent the day with us. Tommy, John, Alma & Lawrence ate supper with us. Mrs. Barnett Ashby & little daughter came a little while this afternoon. Bobby has been a good boy today.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 1941 Willie came & got our clothes & took them home with her to wash as we didn't have sufficant water. Mother & I have been trying to get some things back in place after the Silo filling yesterday. Tommy went to Barnett Ashby's to the Silo filling. Rex went to took Nealie Gipson but didn't stay long as he had so much to do at home.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 1941 Rex & Tommy are helping Nathianal Scott fill his Silo today. I washed my head, made 3 qts of pear preserves and 1 qt of can pars.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1941 Mother & I washed a good many pieces today. I finished making a tie back.
