The one Mrs. Thompson was to have addressed and decision was made to visit gardens in Winston-Salem. Mrs. W. C. Jones and Mrs. S. C. Clark were appointed to arrange date & other plans for this pilgrimage.

Voted to invite the State Garden Club to meet here if it could be arranged with Miss Maslin. Mrs. Terry, Mrs. Clark and Miss Effie Cox were appointed a committee of arrangements.

The program of the day followed. Mrs. S. C. Clark read an able paper on Summerflowering Bulbs.

Mrs. H. A White gave an informal talk on Garden Accessories, in which she stressed two points: accessories should have a real or apparent use and should

After adjournment the Club visited the gardens of Mrs. White and Mrs. Herndon.

On Thursday June 10, the Garden Club made a visit to Winston-Salem, following a carefully planned itinerary arranged by our committee.

A number of most charming gardens were visited, including Miss Bessie Pfohls' garden, reproducing that of Count Zinzindorf. Mrs. Will Reynolds, Mrs. Galloway's Italian Garden and the wonderful gardens of Mrs. Will [Haynes or Hanes], Mrs. B. F. Huntley. refreshments & a view also of the inside of her charming home. Then on to Mrs. Kent's very pleasing garden concluding by a tour through Reynolda.

The Garden Club met at the home of Mrs. J. E. Cox, June 15, with thirteen members present.

A discussion took place about desirability of entertaining the Garden Club of N. C. in the fall instead of the near future. The secretary was instructed to write Miss Maslin saying that we thought Oct. would be a more desirable time but if she thought better to have it soon we could arrange it.

Mrs A. S. Parker and Miss Effie Cox [inserted: W. C. Idol] were appointed to nominate officers for next year.

As Program & Year Book Committee for next year the following were appointed; Mrs. C. F. Tomlinson, Mrs. S. C. Clark, Mrs. Caldwell & Mrs. S. H. Tomlinson.

The Secretary was instructed to write a note of thanks to each of the hostesses we visited in Winston-Salem.

Decded to have special paper for Club correspondance & Mrs. C. F. Tomlinson was appointed to secure this.

Adjourned to meet June 22 with Mrs. W. C. Jones.

and with one corrections approved.

A letter from Miss Maslin was read agreeing with us that it was best to defer the N. C. Garden Club Meeting until October.

The Committee previously appointed to make arrangements for this meeting was continued to care for this meeting in October.

The Nominating Committee presented the following nominations, and the officeers therein named were unanimously elected.

The Treasurer reported a balance on hand of $86.87 after paying for the club
