On the evening of February 9, 1937 the
regular monthly meeting of the Elm Street
Parent-Teacher Association was held in the
Elm Street School auditorium. The meeting
was called to order by the president, Mrs.
H. P. Morrison. A group of first grade
children under the direction of Miss Clegg
and accompanied on the piano by
Mrs. Smith sang a group of songs
appropriate to the season. The minutes of
the last meeting were read by the
secretary, after which reports were made
by the chairmen of the various committees.
Mrs. Gray, asked again that as many as
possible would take the Parent-Teacher
magazine. The chairman of the financial
committee, Mrs. Ferree, spoke briefly in behalf
of the needy children in High Point and made
