Fort Worth, Texas, May 2-1905.

TO THE HON. MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL:-

The undersigned citizens of the third ward residing in that part of said ward situated on Chambers Hill and East Front Street respectfully submitt: that for the past eight or ten years they and their children have been using a roadway running east from the third ward school as a means of access to said school, and the City of Fort Worth at considerable expense constructed a bridge over the stream for the safety and convenience of children attending said third ward school from the east part of said ward, however, on Monday May 1st 1905 said roadway or street was closed by the construction of a fence across it, thereby, forcing children from Chambers Hill and East Front Street to make a long detour approximating twice the neccessary distance to reach said school and rendering the bridge and street lights heretofore placed on said roadway and street by the City valueless. Therefore your petitions respectfully request your honorable body to make an immediate inspection of the matter and grant us such relief as may be lawful and proper:

M. L. CHAMBERS REALTY CO. 611 MAIN STREET

FORT WORTH, TEXAS 3/1/06.

To the Honorable Mayor and City Council, Ft. Worth, Texas.

We the undersigned Citizens and tax payers would respectfully request your Honorable Body to take such steps as necessary to have the crossing of the Central and Santa Fe on South Main Street fixed, so there will not be so much dangerto lives, as there has been in the past. Several accidents and some lives lost on the account of this dangerous place, and we would deem it very essential to have this fixed immediately.

There is from 6 to 8 feet rise between the Santa Fe and the Central with about 80 feet distance between the two tracks. In approaching the crossing on the Santa Fe with the 8 foot rise to the Central, makes it a very dangerous crossing.

Yours respectfully,
