The Honorable Mayor & City Council, C I T Y .
Gentlemen:--
We, the undersigned, would respectfully resommend, to your Honorable Body, that you appoint J. W. FORT WORTH, TEXAS. May 11th 1905
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of Ft Worth Tx
We the undersigned being property owners and residents on S. Main, Galveston and St. Louis Ave beg to submit to your honorable body the attached diagram and respectfully call attention to the following facts:-
1st. That part of Goldsmiths addition between S Main and St Louis Ave being North of Laurel St rests against the South line of the City's grounds thereby causing Galveston Ave as well as the 2 alleys through the respective blocks to terminate in dead ends against the city enclosure.
2nd. In consequence hereof the alleys are practically useless since no wagon can turn in them, while our homes on Galveston Ave are inaccessible to us except by a long circuitous route south of them.
Now therefore, in view of the solid front of improvements that have been erected on both sides of said street, and the great inconvenience and hardships we are residents are subjected to by reason of being denial a direct access to our homes or the use of our alleys we respectfully petition your Honorable body, to open at least a 35 or 40 ft roadway in the South line of the City's grounds, from Main Street to St. Louis Ave.
