The City of Fort Worth Tarrant County, Texas }

To the Honorable Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Fort Worth.

Gentlemen

I have a little portable and cigar Stand or Box store situated on the corner of 5th and Main Streets by permission of the City Council, and the persons occupying the building on said corner affected so my being there with my stand and the Council ordered it removed therefrom now. I respectfully ask authority of your Honorable body to place said stand on the corner of Third and Main Streets about 12 or 14 feet back from the corner on [Ninth?] Street, next to the Traders Hall Bank. I have obtained the consent and permission of the occupants of said Building to place same there. And will move the same away whenever objections are venged against it being there heretofore he prays for permission to place said Stand as above designated.

Gentlemen:-

We the undersigned citizens and tax-payers residing on May Street, and owning property abutting on said street, would respectfully ask that your honorable body have said May Street graded and graveled from Rosedale street to Myrtle Murphy street, said roadway or street being 30 feet in width, we to pay our prorata of the cost of said work as work of this nature has been done at other points in the city.

TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.

WE, the undersigned, being property owners and citizens of those portions of the Sixth and Eigth Wards which cannot be reached by the City's present system of sewerage, realizing that by virtue of our Charter Amendments, we are now in position to get Sewerage without any financial strain on the City, would respectfully ask that your Honorable Body at once take steps to provide a Sewer System for said portions of said Wards.

We, the undersigned citizens and tax payers, respectfully request your honorable body to designate as a market place for Gardeners and Truck-Farmers, Houston Street between Tenth to Thirteenth, in the City of Fort Worth. A market has been maintained at this place for something like the past Twelve months and we respectfully pray that it be continued.

Fort Worth,Texas,May 5th., 1905.

To the Finance Committee of the City Council;

Your petitioner, A.B. Curtis, Assistant City Attorney,Delinquent Tax Department of the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, would respectfully show that he submitted a petition to the Honorable mayor and City Council, at the last regular meeting, asking that the taxes on real estate for the years 1902 and 1903 be put on the delinquent list and placed in petitioner's hands for collection and that the deliquent personal taxes for certain years to be agreed upon be also placed in his hands for collections. This petition was referred to your committee, but petitioner has not yet submitted you a definite proposition.

Now your petitioner would submit for your consideration the following proposition,to wit; That petitioner, A.B. Curtis, be allowed as compensation for his services as delinquent tax collector I0 per cent. of all taxes collected on real estate for the year 1902 and all preceding years and 1 per cent. of all taxes on real estate collected for the year 1903, and that petitioner be allowed for his service 20 per cent. of all delinquent taxes collected on personally and polls for the year 1901 and all preceding years and 15 per cent. of such taxes and penalties for the year 1902 and 5 per cent. of such taxes and penalties for the year 1903.

Your petitioner would ask that your committee would report to the Council at its regular meeting on Friday evening May 5th., 1905, recommending that the Council adopt the above proposed proposition. If in your wisdom you do not see fit to recommend the adoption of the above proposed proposition, your petitioner would ask that you recommend to the Council such proposition as you consider fair and equitable to the city and to this petitioner.

This shall not [incur?] penalties nor stamps.
