I hereby make application to you for the position of Judge of the Corporation Court of the City of Fort Worth. This is a Judgship and I think the office ought to seek the man, that the man the Judgship. Your gentlemen know me, as well as my qualizations with this position. I shall endeavor to discharge the duties incumbent upon me in every respect, and shall ever be thankful to you for said appointment.
