An especial medicine for one that is broken

Take of knee holme 9 or 10 sprigs according to the pa
strength Take a handfull of fennell for a child for a man more
according to the pa strength take of bores clawes
wel dryed & beaten in to powder as much as wil
ly upon a groat stamp the herbs & straine them
& put the iuce in to andifferent draught of ale or beer
& let the partty drink it fasting but put the powder in
to the drink be fore you drink it & let the party ly
on there back 2 hours after it & let them use this
a fortnight togather & if you posable can tis much
the better to make the drink fresh drink every moring
this hath holppen many both old & young but be
fore the inward medicine be taken thay must be
suer to truss up the place so as nothing can slip by
for if it do it wil for ever be shut out this is a
thing that closeth it up presently the trus need not
be worn above a month the medicine must be
warmed a lettle the best time to use it in is march
but it wil doe at anny time if you can get the herbs

An excelant drink for anny that is trubled with the
dropsy or that is trubled with the Ston on or any one has that
has there body sweld with groas humers

Take eight twelve handfuls of the tops of heath & eight ounces
of wild carrot seed & boil it in eight gallons of strong
ale then strain it out & work it as you do other drink
tun ir up & drink it on only of that whil it dos last

{probatem} one half penyworth of Plantainy water half a penyworth
of Frogspawn water & half a peniworth of the powder
of Tutty mix these togather & wash the grived place
this cured one that had a sore at the corner of his Eie
& had spent a a hundered pound a great deal of mony to have it cured
