Take green candid oyle green Sage wormwood camamile
suthernwood an equale quantity of each as much as the oyle

sugar beat it & put some three ounces into a quarter
there a bout put them all in to the oyle & let them
stand a week in the sun & then at the weeks end
stir them every day for fourteen days to gather stil
let it stand in the Sun & then strain the herbs through
a strong linin cloth very hard then Take red Rose
buds & tops of lavendar tops as much as your oyl
wil steepe two days before you boyl it it
must boyl two hours at lest in a skillet over
a soft fire & when it boyles put into it a
quarter of a pint of aquavity Take it from
the fire & strain it & let it stand til it is could
& put it up up into a broad mouth pot or
glas

To make the Methridate Brandy

Take to 4 Gallons of Brandy Infuse a bushell
of poppes 24 hours then strain it & put in it

Lickerish mace white pep white peper ginger
of each of these two ounces sinament annie
Seeds Juniperberis cloves fenell seeds of
each of these & cardemum seeds one ounce two drams of safron
two pound of figes sliced one pound of Resons
of the Sun stoned Slice the lickerish all these
thing must be put into an earthen pot & Set
infusing in the Sun for 3 weeks then strane
all these things it & mix with it 4 ounces of Methridate
but we doe put two ounces of Methridate & two
ounces of Venice Trecle & four pound of Suger
