and foggy. At 3 we saw a whale and lowered the boats
and the Capts boat soon got fast. The whale run
[ILLUSTRATION in margin] Wale tain - lost
very bad so it took us some time before could kill it.
It came on very foggy so that we lost sight of the ship
We put a ?weft in the whale and left it. We soon found
the ship. It rained very hard all night. AM called all
hands and made sail to look for the whale. At 10 the
wuind blows so hard so that we took in sail and have
the ship to. 113 Days out
