Remarks on board Sunday 30 June 1822. These 24 hours Commences with pleasant breeze from the south ward and westward. Two sail to the windward and one ahead. We saw a turkel and lowered about but could not ketch [CATCH] it. 4 Days out

[?Handed] the fore main and mizzen topgallant sails and middle and maintopmast [??]sails and jib and spanker hauled down the foretopmast ?studensail. At 11 AM Clear and pleasant set the fore main and mizzen topgallant sails jib and spanker. Couese E by S. 6 Days out

Remarks on board Wednesday 3 July 1822. These 24 hours Commences with light winds and Calm. We saw several dolphin and catch two. The watch employed in ships duty 7 Days out

8 Days out Remarks on board Thursday 4 = 1822. These 24 [WHALE or DOLPHIN ILLUSTRATION] hours Commences with Clear and pleasant. Saw several dolphin and catch one. At 7 AM we saw [WHALE or DOLPHIN ILLUSTRATION] a large school of sperm whale and lowered down the boats and struck three of them and killed them [WHALE or DOLPHIN ILLUSTRATION] and got the alongside of the ship. The weather growing squally.
