Saturday Oct 4th Begins with fine weather. One watch employed in ships duty. Other on shore. Give the cooper his discharge on account of a lame leg. Latter part of this day all hands employed in getting water on board. So ends.

Sunday Oct 5 Begins with fine weather and one watch on shore. Ship at anchor. So ends.

Monday Oct 6 Begins with calm weather. Latter part get the last raft off [OF] water that is wanted and stowed it away. So ends.

Tuesday Oct 7 Fine weather. Employed in mending our stoven boat. Received one from Collumbus [COLUMBUS] Fair Haven [FAIRHAVEN]. So ends this 24 hours.

Wensday [WEDNESDAY] Oct 8 Begins with fine weather. All hands employed in getting wood and potatoes and sending out jibboom. So ends.

Thursday Oct 9 Begins with fine weather. All hands employed in clearing up decks and getting ready for sea. Two men run away, William Davis, Charlton Chenister[?]. So ends.
