be authorized to allow such sum as they deem proper. _

Memorial of John Coolidge asking compensation for Land Damage.

A memorial from John Coolidge of Watertown, dated , by his attorney, Geo. Z. Adams, representing that his land contiguous to the Cemetery had suffered damage by the act of the Trustees, in draining water from the Cemetery into said land _ was read. _

Thereupon it was

Voted that the complaint he referred to the committee on Grounds.

Amendment of By_laws _

On motion by Mr Norcross, it was

Voted to amend Art. 20 of the by laws, in line 3d by substituting fo rthe words _ "twelve dollars each, together with" _ the words _ "twenty five dollars each besides." _

Also Art. 23, line 2, by substituting the words "twentyfive" for the word "twenty" _ and in line 5, by substituting "seventeen" for "fourteen." _
