Mount Auburn
Dr Sir
I went this morning to Mr Wetherell's Lot 1170 and find that the sod tho' dry in a few spots, looks better than the average of the lots this dry weather. I also find by my daily reports that the lot has been put in order four times since beside watering it somewhat. The lot is a 400 ft lot and we have been getting only $5.00 for annual care. The regular charge for a 300 ft lot, and I can not see any reasonable cause for complaint.
I have made inquiries, but have been unable to find out what was requested by Mr Wetherall.
Respectfully J.W.Lovering Supt

Dear Sir
Mr. J.G. Wetherell lot #1170 informs me his lot was sodded some time ago, and never did [?] & that you agreed to top dress it & serviced &c at Corporation's expense -
I have informed him that if you made any such agreement with him, that I would carry out your promise -
Will you be kind enough to inform me.
Yrs truly J.W. Lovering
Dear Sir.
I have sent an altered bill "without plants" on lot 506 to the Treasurer who will forward it to you. The orders as to [vines?] &c were given some time ago, so that it is to late to stop them this season.
I never received any information from Col. Folsom in regard to who to take orders from. The lot stands on the books in name of Geo. Quincy Thorndike I find. If it has come into your possession you would confer a favor by letting the Secretary know that we may have our books properly corrected.
Respectfully J.W. Lovering Supt
