interments in the public lots, said interments
to be also fully described in the general Records." _

Adopted - Comee to execute the same -

Voted that the report be accepted & adopted,, &
that Mr Nazro be a Committee to carry the
foregoing recommendations into effect.

T. Dowse's application to purchase strip of land _

A communication was presented to the meeting, of
which the following is a copy. _

"Cambridge
To the Board of Trustees of Mount Auburn Cemetery,
Gentlemen,

I should like to purchase in behalf
of Mr Thomas Dowse the land between the lots of
Messrs Wetherell & Faulkner - and leading from Pine
Avenue
to lot of said Dowse.

Conditions of sale to be that said land shall
be kept open as a Path forever.-
Very Respectfully
O. W. Watriss". _

Mr Curtis suggested that the proposition in behalf of
Mr Dowse should be referred to the Standing Committee

The O. W. Watriss seems to be Oliver Whiting Watriss, (14 Feb 1813 - 8 May 1867), who is also buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
