Oct. 1, 1920

The meeting of the Club was called to order at 8 P.M. at the Club House which was remodeled at the close of the Spring Quarter.

Acting-chairman Sam Chew presided & the following members being present:—

Messers. H. Wu, W.C. Meh, H.L. Hsu, K.T. Young, N.Y. Yue & A.F. Chuck.

The minutes of the last meeting was read by W.C. Meh, acting Secretary; the minutes being duly approved.

(1) Financial report showed a balance of $1640.00 balance in the bank.

(2) By-laws of the Corporation were read by the acting chairman.

(3) Report of Treasurer Wu showed a balance of $7.09

(4) Election of officers for the Autumn Quarter resulted in :—

(a) President and House Manager - W.C. Meh. (b) English Secretary - A.F. Chuck. (c) Chinese Sec'y and Treasurer - K.T. Young. (d) Representative to the Western Section of the Chinese Students' Alliance resulted in a draw and the

Oct. 10, 1920

A special meeting was called by the president to celebrate Oct. 10, our National holiday. The following members being present, Messrs. H. Wu, L.S. Hsu, Sam Chew, Chi Chen, and later after the business meeting, Mr. K.T. Young showed up.

The following were discussed:—

(1) House rules read by the president but no action was taken on them.

(2) It was decided to have no bible class as not enough members would avail themselves of such a meeting.

(3) A Free meeting hour to be held each Sunday from four to 5 P.M. to discuss current problems.

(4) A Mandarin-Cantonese exchange class was to be conducted by the members of the club from 7-8 P.M. Business meeting adjourned 9:30 P.M.

Dec. 22, 1920.

Meeting called to order 8:30 P.M.

Meetings of last meeting read & approved. President brought up & read part of the contract of the Club and the University. He also said that there is a necessity of paying up the interest, land and water tax, furniture bill & the first payment on the house. It was unanimously moved that the president arrange for a dinner for the Board of Directors at San Francisco the following night.

Report of Mr. Chew about the expenses during the Summer Quarter. He reported a credit to the Club of $58.00 which he will settle in the near future.

President announced that the Chinese Night under the auspices of the Cosmopolitan Club to be given on the second Monday of the Winter Quarter.

Meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.M.

a) Appointments were made 1) K.T. Yeung as principal of night school 2) Hsu, L.S. as Duty-in charge of social relations 3) N.Y. Yue as Duty-in charge of house adornment

4) Speech by Tennyson Tan, Chairman of Western Section, Chinese Students' Alliance in N. Am.

5) Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
