Saturday June 18, 1921
A good day. I went to Chatham from Lizzies.
Marvin and family come up there. Marvin & Jim Brumfield went to Chatham. Jim staid. I come home with them. Marvin & Carrie, Will and Julia Brumfield & Emily was here when I got home. I dont feel like here is home any more. I may be mean to feel that way but I cant help it. I feel that others think they are so smart that I am a mere nobody.
I was so glad that they come for me so as to trouble no one else. Saturday night June the 18th 1921
Monday June 27, 1921
A good day. Ben carried John to Gretna. Julia & Edna and Franklin and Mabel went with them. Ben did not stay long. Then he plowed in his tobacco. Jim plowed some and then mowed hay. Them and Marvin have gone to the school house to hear speakin to night.
Josie planted some pepper this morning then got dinner. This evening she gathered some black berries and went to Marvins.
I got breakfast and milked the cows & fed the chickens and churned. Cut some quilt peices and went to Marvins. Come home. Fed & milked. Brought two buckets of water.
Sunday July 10, 1921
A good day. No rain last night to do any good.
We all staid at home until twelve then eat dinner. Ben & family and Julia Brumfield went to Jim Powers. Found them all well. Mrs Car & Miss Bessie Hobson there.
Jim & I went to Marvins. Jim & Marvin walked a bout all the evening. They are so dissaisfied with their crop and cant help themselves. Aubra & Emmet Brumfield was at Marvins this evening. Josie says that Fanny Power & Asa Anderson has come.

Wednesday July 13, 1921
A good day. No rain yet here. Jim and Ben worked on the tobacco this morning. This evening Ben white washed the room that I sleep in. Josie made her a dress this morning. Julia & Edna picked a few berries. Julia stuck a barb wire in her leg. I hope it wont get sore much. A wasp stung Franklin. I hope it wont hurt him long.
Miss Fannie Power went with Mr Asa Anderson to Piny Grove to preaching. They are carrieng on. Protracted meeting there this week.
Sunday July 17, 1921
A good day. John went away this morning. Hope he got home ok.
We all staid at home for dinner. George Blair come a little while. He carried Fanny for spin and come back and then went to Mr Farmers for Isla. Ben went with us to Marvins then come home and carried Josie & Fannie & Julia and Edna to Piney Grove to preaching. I have just put Mabel in her bed. Henry and Franklin has gone up stairs to bed. I am tiered. It is hard to have to wait on folks that care nothing but a good time at some one else expence.
