A good day. Ben & Jim worked on the tobacco all day. Owen has a barn full that they are curing.

Josie went to Jim Powers to day. Henry & Franklin went with her. Edna staid with me until dinner. Then she went to Marvins and staid all the evening. I made a few pear preserves.

Prince the horse has been sick all day. He got to some wheat and eat two much. Heard that one of the Lees horses got its leg broke yesterday and they killed him. I am very sorry a bout it.

Josie got peaches & damsons to preserve and can. Guess we will be very busy tomorrow but we are that a most every day.

A good day. The men staid at home all day. Mr. Owen was fireing tobacco. Jim & Ben helped him some. They are at the barn now.

Nellie & Evylin and Edna and Franklin went to Mr Ned Walkers this morning. Josie and I got dinner this evening. Marvin & the little children and Paul Bennett come a wile.

Edna is complaining of head ache tonight. I hope she may soon be well a gain. Henry went to Ren Worshams this evening. Reese went to Dr Owens.

Heard today that Ann Layne is very sick.

A good day. Ben is at work curing his last tobacco. Jim went home this evening. Ben carried him to Gretna.

Josie got dinner. I went fishing. Reese & Henry went with me. We come by Georg Blairs. Heard to day that Letcher is worse off. I am so sorry.

Jim went home this evening.

[?] Thomson sent us 20 pounds of sugar to day. Mr Owen went after Bens paint.

I am so near a sleep that I cant write like it should be done.

A good day. Jim & Ben hauled up a little corn. Jim hauled some rails and made his hog pen larger, then they stripped tobacco. Mr. Owen finished a cureing to day.

Josie and I commenced to wash. Josie got sick and had to quit. I finished. They got dry. Josie ironed some this evening.

Johnson Reynolds passed here this evening at work on the phone line.

A good day. Jim & Ben helped Mr Owen strip tobacco. They finished a cureing for him today and put it in the pit tonight. The children went to school. Josie washed some then went to Marvins a little while. Come home and got supper.

I ironed some and got dinner. Mr Owens baby has got a bout well again. Have not heard from Mrs Edmons to day. If the weather stays good I think I will go around some soon.
