A good day. Rain at night. Ben & Jim & Henry suckered tobacco until twelve oclock then Ben went to Renan and got fruit jars and tops and rubbers.

Jim and Ben hauled a lot of olde boards to the wood pile.

Josie and I worked on grapes most of the day. This evening I picked a few dried beans and got some sweet potatoes, the first that we have had of this years crop. Josie gathered some snaps & strung them and got Irish potatoes for dinner, tomorrows dinner.

A good day. Ben & Henry suckered tobacco this morning.

This evening Ben carried Henry & Edna and Franklin and I to White Falls. I brought home 21 fish. They were all small. We cooked them for supper. Josie staid at home with Mabel. She made Edna a gown. Edna is very glad of it.

No rain yet. We need it so bad.

I have not seen Carrie today. I miss her if I dont see her often. I guess I will get use to not seeing her.

A hot dry day. Ben fired on his tobacco all day. Jim and Henry suckered tobacco until dinner.

Josie staid at the barn while Ben carried Jim to Gretna. Ben brought Elsie East & Effie Brumfield home from Gretna. Oscar Brumfield carried his mother and Hugh and Aubra Brumfield and Ralph East to White Falls. We caught several fish. Jim Thomson was there with his car. He brought us part the way home and I was glad that he did.
