Dear Madam, A memorandum on a small slip of paper of the removal ^ on the 26thultimo of the remains of Martha West which were interred in No 85 St. James Lot, , lot to lot No 3251, which is represented by you, has been sent me for entry on the Register of Interments, be a regular order from the propr or representative of a lot should appear on our files, and to test the correctness of the record. I send the accompanying blank for your signature. Please return the same to me by mail, signed by you if all right.

I enclose the report of the Superintendant upon the lot of John D. Sturtevant No 3367, on Fountain Avenue (next lot to Chas Merriam's) for the pur-- pose of ascertaining for what sum the Corporation will assume the perpetual care of the same.

Dear Sir,

Our Supt, Capt. Winsor, has, at your request I presume reported upon the condition of your lot for perpetual care: and the Committee upon lots have considered the applica-- tion, and instructed me to inform you that the Corporation will assume the perpetual care of lot No. 3367, for five hundred and fifty dollars.— ($550.)

Dear Sir,

At the meeting of the Trustees of Mount Auburn held on [inst?], the following vote was adopted:—

"That, until otherwise ordered, no upland between Yew and Central Avenues be sold for less than two dollars per square foot, and no upland in other parts of the old Cemetery be sold for less than one dollar per square foot, except by approval of the Committee on Lots."
