To the Hon Mayor and City Council of the City of Seattle, The undersigned petitioners who are Residents and Real Estate owners on Depot Street, would respectfully ask your honorable Body to cause Depot Street to be opened from Broadway to Madison Streets, that there is a great need for such improvement to enable people to build on said street, also to accomodate travel in that part of the city. Seattle, Wash., Dec 11th, 1893 To the City Council of Seattle Gentlemen:The undersigned residents and householders in Broadway and DeForest St. north of Madison Street, are much in need of street lights, and of a policeman to watch their premises, and protect the same against mauraders and burglers.
