Sir I have the honor to recommend Acting Sub-Inspector Tompson [Thompson] for promotion to The Rank of SubInspector in the Native Mounted Police via Edward Wheeler, dismissed.
Mr Thompson has served in The Native Police since the 1st July 1866 and has proved himself to be a thoroughly efficient officer and I have great pleasure in recommending him for his well earned promotion.
