Monday December 6th. 1858
Lay at anchor off St Martin's island all day yesterday. boats returned about 11 ocl PM. Got under weigh at daylight this morning to proceed to Akya fine clear day had a pleasant trip down & lunched in Akyab Harbour at 4 oclock went ashore & called at the Captns. in the evening Child much better. Anchored a long way off shore. Came on board at 9 oclock. Steamer Baltic arrived from Calcutta at 10 oclock PM. Slept in Cabin
Tuesday Decr. 7th. 1858
Up at 5.30. had a bath Capt. Eales came off with Durham of the "Baltic" Breakfast at 10.30 After Lf Officer Baltic came on bd. Dibbs went on bd. the Baltic with

on bd. as a passenger fine cool day. Anchored in Akyab at 5 ocl. Col. Sage Dr. Brown Triton went ashore in the Cutter Dr. B asked me to call on him at B'poor and stay a day or two on Arrival in Calcutta did not go ashore in the evening

Up an hour before sunrise very cold on deck. Joey back to look again. went on shore in the evening Called at Capt. Eales not at home at Johnsons do [underscored] went down to the ghaut with the Dolphin's boat Met Cassiagni went to the Ba-z] mugh Imahara bye & Baltic ard. f Rangoon

Up early let Officer of Baltic came on bd. at breakfast time fine cool day. read plagues on the Egyptians went to bed at 0 oclock.

Sunday Feby. 6th. 1859
Mail Sr. [Steamer] "Baltic" came in this mg. about 8 oclock. Capt. Hick of the "Lady head" came aboard. "Nemesis" arrived here at 10ocl went aboard the "Nemesis" between 12 & 1 brought off the Dr. & Dibbs Capt. Goodwin Mrs. & Miss Street. Lt officer came on bd. "Proserpine" in the Cutter. Lef officer dined with us. Dr. & third officer remained on bd. till 9. Capt. & Mrs. Eales Miss Hughesdon Mr. & Mrs. Motley came on board in the evening all ready to start tomorrow for Calcutta. received a letter from Agnes Taylor & Mr. Taylor & a newspaper xstrain[?] news from Mr. Thomson I think.
