Dr. Van Waters:

Job at McLean Hospital open now - ward maid. Quarters furnished. Pay - $107 per month - less deductions for room and meals, Margaret would received about $65 in cash each month. 38 hour week. Duties - ordiary housekeeping - cleaning living-rooms, corridors, bathrooms some waiting on table. Little contact with patients. This job is on the neurotic ward, considered one of the best - the head nurse here is very particular, wants someone who presents good appearance. This job needs to be filled almost immediately. The Personnel Director to whom I talked thought a job on a ward where there were sicker people and where Margaret would have more contact with patients might work out better for her. There should be such a job open within the next week or two.
