Trustees _ .

The regular monthly meeting of the Trustees of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn was held on _

There were present the President and Messrs Adams, Austin, Bowditch, Cheever, Norcross, Rand and Read. _ 8

Clerk pro tem.

The Secretary being absent, Bradford Kingman was chosen clerk pro tem.

The record of the last meeting was read.

Appropriation for printing & distrib. Catalogue & plan _

The motion submitted at the last meeting, authorizing the Committee on the Catalogue to expend a sum not exceeding twenty three hundred ^& fifty dollars for the printing and distribution of forty five hundred copies each of the catalogue and plan came up first in order. _ and the motion for such appropriation was adopted.

Treasr authorized to settle with late Gatekeeper.

Voted that the Treasurer have full power to settle with Mr Derby the late Gatekeeper, agreeably to the By laws.

Committee on Iron Fence _

Voted that the same Committee that was chosen on the , to consider the Expediency of enclosing the Stone Farm with an Iron fence on the road, to make inquiries obtain estimates and report at a future meeting - viz.

Railway tickets to be purchased for Trustees _

Voted that the Secretary be authorized to purchase for the use of this Board one hundred and twenty car tickets of the Union Railway Company from Boston to Mount Auburn, and distribute them to the Trustees.

Perpetual Repair _ Lot 2517.

The Secretary reported that the Committee on Lots had contracted for the perpetual repair of Lot No 2517 belonging to the estate of the late Josiah Vose for the sum of Eleven hundred dollars ($1100) subject to the concurrence of this Board.

Voted that said contract be concurred in.

Voted that when this meeting adjourn, it be to the next regular meeting on the 1st Monday in March. _

a base, in duplicate, and proposed the following vote which was adopted: _

Lease for 10 yrs. to A.McDonald. approved _ [Lease Expires ]

Voted. "That the Indenture of lease between this Corporation and Alexander McDonald for the term of ten years, for the purpose of manufacturing, exhibiting and selling statuary, monumental and other marble or stone work, for Cemetery purposes, which has been submitted by the Committee to whom the subject was specially referred, be and is hereby approved and confirmed, and that the same be executed on the part of the Corporation by the Treasurer and Secretary in the usual manner."

Petition for warming of Chapel.

A memorial of Wm G. Babcock praying that the Chapel may be warmed for funerals was presented. Voted that the same be referred to the Committee on Grounds. _
