A nice morning. Wind and a little rain in the evening.

Ben and Owen went to Charles Brumfields to help shuck corn. They finished getting up his corn and finished covering his corn house.

Josie ironed the most of the day. Carrie and Roy and Hazel come and eat dinner with us. Josie helped to carry Hazel home. Gladis Brumfield come with Henry from school. Ben and Josie and Franklin went to Mrs Carrs to night. Ben will come home if nothin happens to him.

The children are all a sleep now.

A good day.

Ben and Owen hauled stalks this morning then Ben went to Charles and worked on his corn house until twelve. Come home for dinner.

This evening he plowed the colt in the garden then got the locus stump up that was in the yard.

Josie and I burnt some brush that was in the garden. Mrs Hubbard was buried this evening. None of us did not go to the burial.

A good day. Raining tonight.

Ben went and helped to cut Charles feed this evening. Owen plowed. I got out the beans that the Blair girls gathered last fall they are very nice.

Edna spent the evening at Aunt Carries. Henry went to school. Both the children have bad colds.

All gone to bed but me. I soon will be if nothing happens.

A good day. Ben and Tom and Chesley Edmons and Owen sawed barn logs.

I went to see Charles Brumfield. I eat dinner with Kate Harvey. Josie staid at home and fixed for company to night. Effie and Hellen Brumfield and Lillian Peak come here from school. Tom and Chesley Edmons come they are playing cards.

To night there is a light in the north. I wrote on the wrong page a few nights ago. Mrs Kellie was at Renan. She said that Otie Kellie was gone to get him a new car.

Henry and Edna is in the parlor to night.

A cloudy day and some rain. Ben and Owen and some of the neighbors worked the road that the mail carrier travels. To night Ben has gone to stay at Charles Brumfields. He [is] very sick.

Josie washed this morning and made Edna a dress this evening. To night she is sick. I got dinner. I went to Marvins this evening. All four of the school teachers went to spend the night at Mr Willie Mayhews.

Marvin Smiths plum tree is white with bloom. I am a fraid that the fruit will get killed.
