January Mr.James Bowie (Port Royal) last month, died. Alex'r Waugh Sen'r died last month,
9, Heard John Bowie died a few days ago.
10, Tho's Davis got Licence to marry Betsy Pannill, Three negro children of H'd Taylor's died of whooping cough between the 10th and 25th inst. Con'l F.Nelson, the 4th instant, died in Hanover.
31, Negro Frank and Patt wedded. Henry Pendleton, one of the Judges, S[outh]. C[arolina]. died [Jan.10th]
March 16, Mr. Wm. Thurston died at Mr.B.Porter's [Was this "Thurston," or "Thruston"]
April 8, Mr.John Taliaferro of Hay died at Fred'g
May 27, Col.James Taylor's wife [Ann Hubbard] died in Caroline.
August 11, Capt John Lee died yesterday at Maj'r Lees. Mrs Segar (Caroline) not long since died.
about 22, Mrs Washington, at Fred'g (the Pres'ts mother) died. Maj'r Ch McGill mar'd to Eliz.Daingerfield.

Feb'y 2, Election for Congressman- Col James Madison Jr., [afterward President] got 200 votes & Monroe [afterward President] 9.
3, Col.Madison got 16 votes more- he got 256 in Culpeper, Monroe 103 "" 177 in Albeamarle " 105 "" 104 Majority in Louisa, in Spotsylvania, majority for Monroe 74
