JULY, WEDNESDAY 13th 1887.

This has been a very
warm day nothwistanding
there has been a nice breeze
nearly all day but the sun
was very hot Charley rode
to Rockville on horseback
and brought home a new "Road
cart" built by "Fish Bros & Co"
of Racine Wis: he was back
in time for a late dinner
towards sundown I went up
to Annie Budd's ne Rounds
to examine & prescribe for her
daughter but found there would
be quite a serious operation
necessary & postponed it until
tomorrow to get an instrument I
need. Charley went to Homewood to
do something to a binder I went with
him in the "road cart." he then took
cousin Hannah Chandlee home.
Perry Thomas & wife Malinda came
after dark for advice & medicine
for the latter. I walked down to
Ashton & back to correct a mistake in
giving a prescription although not a serious
one.
