The Chairman from the Committee on Streets &c brought up a Report which
was read

Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the Report of the Committee on Streets be received and
adopted

In amendment 1st
Ald Harty moves seconded by Ald Irving
That the Report of the Committee on Streets be so amended that
the lowest tender for the average of the works actually required to be done
in each ward be accepted

In amendment 2nd
Ald Fee moves seconded by Ald McIntyre
That the Report of the Committee on Streets be amended
by adding the following appropriations namely
Two hundred and fifty dollars for Gordon Street
One hundred dollars for Johnston Street
Fifty dollars for Alfred Street
Rideau Ward

Ald Harty's amendment being put was lost

A question having arisen as to the Report being in
order

The Mayor ruled it out of order

The Council went into Committee of the whole on the
second reading of the By Law regulating the periods of taking
the assessment and for the revision of the rolls by the Court of Revision
and by the County Judge in the City of Kingston

Ald CF Gildersleeve in the chair
The Council resumed, the committee rose and the Chairman
reported the second reading of the By Law in Committee

The Report was received and the By Law was read a
third time and passed

The Council went into Committee of the whole on the
second reading of the By Law respecting the sale of fresh fish

Ald JP GIldersleeve in the chair
The Council resumed, The Committee rose and the Chairman
reported that several members having left there was not a quorum
to transact business

There being no quorum the meeting adjourned
