Ald Carson brought up the petition of William
Harkness asking permission to sell Butchers meat in his
shop Wellington Street

Ald Allen brought up the petition of Thomas Dunn
praying permission to sell fresh meat on Wellington street
between Queen and Barrack street

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the petitions of William Harkness
and Thomas Dunn be granted on the usual conditions.

Ald Gaskin brought up the petition of LR Tomkins
praying for a reduction in his License for selling fresh
meat.

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald McKelvey
Ordered, That the petition of Robert Tomkins be acted
on the following manner, that is to say he be granted the sum
of thirty five dollars the same to be applied on account in
the payment of Butchers License for the year 1880.

Ald Snook brought up the petition of Thomas Graham
respecting taxes.

Ald Fee brought up the petition of Richard Evans
respecting taxes

Ald McIntyre brought up the petition of Henry
Asselstine respecing taxes.

Sundry other petitions respecting taxes were
submitted

On motion of Ald Snook seconded by Ald Carson
Ordered, That the petition of Thomas Graham and
other petitions in regard to taxes be referred to the Court of
Revision.

Ald Allen brought up the petition of Henry Graham
respecting taxes. Referred to the Court of Revision

Ald Allen brought up the petition of Wilson & Co
respecting taxes.

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Carson
Ordered, That the petition of Wilson & Co be
referred to the Finance Committee with power to act.

Ald Harty from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 750 Book D No 2)
which was read

On motion of Ald McRossie seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That a contract given out by Ald Allen
in Cataraqui Ward which contract it appears has not yet been
completed but as the amount of the same is provided by
the appropriations of last year and not expended by said
Cataraqui Ward the same be placed to the credit of the Ward
and be paid by this Council when the contract is completed and
certified to by the City Engineer and the Chairman of Streets
and also that the amount not expended in Victoria Ward be
placed
