Butter Scotch Pie

Melt 2 tablespoons of
Butter + one cupful of
brown sugar.
Cook 'til a rich brown
then add a cupful of
scalded milk.
Simmer a few
minutes until sugar
is dissolved & whip
in the yolk of 1 egg
beaten well with
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Bake in thin pie
crust until custard
is set. Serve with
whipped cream or with
meringue made with
white of Egg.
