2 cups brown sugar
scant 1/2 cup lard and butter mixed
yokes of 2 eggs
1 cup sour milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
mixed with sour milk
2 teaspoon vanilla
pinch salt
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
The beaten whites
to be added the
very last thing and
bake in slow oven
1/2 hour.
