The loans necessary to accomplish the above, aggregate
$81,000.00- practically the cost of the building, Steam-heating
Plant, and Pixtures; and are drawing an average rate of ten per
cent interest per annum.

The payment of this interest, together with the usual in-
crease of expenditures incident to the growth of like institutions,
have forcibly suggested to ourselves the seeming impossibility of
continuing the school under existing conditions.

We, therefore, respectfully ask for relief in behalf of
the Academy- and through it for the youth of Zion, in such
a way and manner as you may approve. The relief should approx-
imate $100,000.00 without interest, or at a nominal rate only; and
we propose either of the following:

First: A cash loan, as above, payable monthly in sums of, say
$7,500.00, up to $50,000.00; the balance when required.

Second: The loan of the Tithing of the Utah Stake of Zion
up to the above amount, to be collected and disposed of under the
supervision of the Academy.
