Dear Sir,
Agreeably to the information contained in yours of June 24th I have given directions that your next should be forwared to Shippingport Kentucky & presumed that have long since received the 2d no of vol. 12 which Mr. Mattley informs me was sent to your former residence agreeably to your first directions. I shall be much obliged to you to give me any & every information in your power relative to the canal around the rapids of the Ohio with permission to impart it in the Journal of Science, any other information which you may communicate will be acceptable & I thank you for your disposition to [illegible] the subscription of the Journals.
