Spikes 6 to 10 flowered, linear, senile, 2 ranked, on solitary slender axillary peduncles; scales lanced Cate, 2 ranked; Perianth of 6 to 9 downwards barbed bristles; stamens 3; styles very long 2 cleft; achenium flattened, linear=oblong, beaked with the tong persistent style:
