Damascus - clear, calm

Broke camp & started on spring trip. 9:05 out of the city
9:35 no joke riding stallions through narrow crowded streets
and over slipery?? cobble stones & passing mares.

Went N.N.E on fine maccadamed?? road keeping mtns.
of Anti-Lebanon on the L. until 2:30. Lunched beside the road from 12:07
to 1:53 and arrived at il-Ḳuṭêfeh 5:35 see Bedeker.
