The Agent from the Underwriters or Manager of the Club
in which the Vessel was insured - has I am informed
charge of the "Amalthea" and her Cargo from the Master
and Owners.
You had better bring under his notice the matter
to which you refer, _ as Linseed is free of duty.

Dear Mr Tiddy 20th Decbr 1859
You have done very right - if the Agent of the "Amalthea"
will settle with the Salvors of the Spar & you can hand
him the proceeds and need not make a return on
the printed form_ but merely state hereon what
you have done and return the paper to me.
I am very sorry to learn that 2 men have
been drowned. Faithfully yours. J.S.

This case should be entered in the report Book

The Agent has requested me to inquire whether
as Mr Scott, one of the Owners of the "Capital" took
charge of her the day after the wreck of the Vessel,
any commission should be charged on the Sale
of the Hull and materials viz - proceeds of the Sale £85-0-0
