MEMORANDUM FROM 1918

Bonn Germany.

In starting this Diary I do Do simply to continue that which I have kept up in the past and just so long as I shall be wearing Khaki. I have never attempted more than a review of places & events in reference to myself & in it I have found even such a slight thing has been of great value to me. Five Xmass & New Years have come & gone since I have donned a uniform.

MEMORANDUM FROM 1918

What varied years they have been too. So full of Everything. At times my prewar life seems a dream. That seems so far away & as though I have known no other life.
