My dear Jan :
First a line to say that everything is going on fine. Was very glad to recieve the pipe and tobacco. I do not smoke much but want to [opt] used to smoking a pipe. If persum only smokes cigarettes not here, he fairly eats them up at times.
I have not recieved any mail for some time but I believe there is a mail [of] [letters] in.
Reg came arround to see me the other night. We are out of the [line] at
