Mr. P.J. Owens,
153 C St.,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dear Mr. Owens:-

There has been so much to engage my attention during
the past month or so that until now, it has been impossible
to reach a reply to your letter of November 18th.

Your expression of approval of my action in the Hillstrom
case is deeply appreciated and I wish you to know that
expressions of men like yourself have been a source of strength
to the officials who have been charged with the admininstration
of the law. So long as we have in our midst, those like
yoursself, who are outspoken in their support of law and order
and who frown upon the actions of those who threaten
and intimidate, there is little danger that the anarchistic
element will gain a foothold in our midst.

Again thanking you and with kind personal regards, I
remain

Cordially yours,

Governor.
