Honorable gavenar of the State of Utah. Dear Sir. I beg your honor and honestly in the death of our Joe hill a well known citizen of the country is haul in and investigated the matter and found from a reasoable stand point that the said Joe hill has been willfuly railroaded to where he is with a Death sentence hanging over his life. Think over it honorable gavenar. Supose it was you or I how would we feel. wouldent we feel that we needed help from good honest hearted people. you have it in your pawer to kill or release

him. be it far from your honest heart to think of having him put to Death when you can save his Life. i sincerely beg your Honorable [?] for his life, please have the murder of Joe hill with drawn give him life imprisment give him a [?] like you would want your self if you had Death looking you in the face like he has. The murder of that man would be a hienous Crime and would cause thousands of good and honest hearted people to have an ill will and hatred feeling towards you that would never be forgotten. i ask your honor to please give him a chance in

Life. if i thought the man needed and deserved being put to Death i would not beg you to save his life. but the way it is Honorable gavnar i beg your honorable heart to with draw the death of said Joe hill.

Sir! I call upon you in the name of human justice to use the power bestowed on you in commuting the life sentence of Joseph Hillstrom, whose life or dead now depends upon the makup of your mind. I ask you as a man to follow the example of the former governor of Georgia in the Leo Frank case and obey the impulse of your inner manhood, as against the wishes of some of your fellow citizens.
