Dec. 16, 1915.

Mr. Edgar W. Farmer.
Anderson, Indiana.

Dear Sir:
I am deeply appreciative of your communication
of Nov. 25th, containing an expression of
your approval of my action in the Hillstrom case.
After the bombardment of threatening letters which
were calculated to intimidate the officers in the
discharge of their duty, it is a real pleasure to
receive letters from good citizens like yourself
who stand for the enforcement of law and order.

Again thanking you and with kind personal
regards, I am

Cordially yours,

Governor.
