W.J. Clifford, Secretary
[Member of the National Metal Trades Association]
Fitchburg, Mass.

Nov. 29th. 1915.
Governor William Spry,
Salt Lake City,
Utah,
Your Excellency,- I am moved to write to you to tell
you how much I appreciate, as an American citizen, your action in
regard to the sentence of Joseph Hilstrom.

If more of our public men who hold office would have
the stand and courage that you have shown to carry out what is [right],
this country would be a different country from what it is.

I presume you are overwhelmed with letters with regard
to this, but I feel relieved to express myself, and I wish to sign myself

Most respectfully and appreciatingly yours,
Charles Fosdick
Dict.
